Guests entering Mellow Mushroom Birmingham are greeted by a Mellow Mushroom Wizard in blacksmith attire forging metals with the fire from a magnificent three-dimensional dragon. The fire imagery can be found throughout the restaurant. At the bar, a silhouette of Birmingham transforms into a magical mushroom land. In the dining area, the artwork pays tribute to Birmingham monuments in the city like the Sloss Tower and Magic City signage.

Food was awesome! Scenery was cool, located not too far from UAB campus. We ordered the Mighty Meaty (all the meats) and the Greay White (five cheeses, no meat). As an appetizer we ordered the pretzels. The pretzels come in 3 or 6. They are HUGE! The pretzel bites are served with beer cheese and the large pretzels are served with marinara sauce. There were 4 of us. We ordered a large pizza and a medium pizza and still had 4 slices to take home. Food was AMAZING! Service needs attention.

Unique atmosphere. Service is good and friendly. food is fresh. Worth parking and walking to eat here.
