Mellow Mushroom South Huntsville - The Story

Built at the foot of the mountains, the restaurant is inspired by the outdoors. The exterior of the building features a stone entryway and a soft green paint scheme. Large windows look out to the patio. The interior features architectural accents made from natural materials, including wood and stone columns and wood beams. A large mural of a waterfall brings the outdoor beauty of Alabama to the dining room, while another mural highlights various historical points in the city. Guests can dine in a vintage camper van that’s been turned into a secluded space for tables.

A very unique pizzeria with very good pizza! As I'm writing this review, I cannot wait to go back and try some of the other menu items! On the day we went, my wife and I were perusing the menu and realized everything looked good, it's very good to know we can compromise and do half and half! On my half, the Mighty Meat was really well done. The bacon was extra crispy, as all good bacon should be eaten, and the crust was perfect. The garlic on the crust is excellent! We ordered a medium which was more than enough for 2! The virgin drinks were great and definitely recommend the pineapple express, a take on the classic Piña colada with some added ingredients!

We love mellow mushroom! We went on game night & had the best time!! Food options was phenomenal & I was taken by the fact my granddaughter was able to still have healthy options. Service was excellent especially during our visit being mostly younger employees. Everyone was super friendly

This location is a good example of what makes Mellow Mushroom popular. The food is tasty, and brought out a little faster than typical for Mellow Mushroom. The beer list is extensive and is updated throughout the year. Inside atmosphere is friendly and fun, if a bit small. Outside seats and tables were recently upgraded, and the restaurant is dog friendly outside. Overall a good value and fun place to eat.
