Mellow Mushroom Clearwater - The Story

A vibrant, colorful mural greets guests as they enter Mellow Mushroom Clearwater. There is a spacious outdoor patio with comfortable furniture. Lush landscaping surrounds the restaurant, including a 200-year-old camphor tree. Inside, a music theme seen throughout the restaurant. Funky artwork hangs throughout the dining room, adding bright pops of color to the sleek, contemporary space.

About Mellow Mushroom Clearwater

Located near BayCare Ballpark and Clearwater Beach, the restaurant has been a favorite for locals since 2014. Our guests come in for the very best pizza, cold beer, craft cocktails, a vibrant atmosphere, and a great time! We’re proud to sponsor local schools and events.

Such a fun place. Love all the cool art and funky light fixtures. We tried the gluten free pizza which was mid. My husband loves the Thai dye and I’ve never had anything like it. The service is great and there are so many cool areas to sit, even outside. There is also the MOST amazing tree outside. They do a free sundae on your birthday.

I have not been to Mellow Mushroom in over 5 years. We walked in and were immediately seat! We we given the menu immediately and they have a good selection of food. We ordered the Greek salad and a large house special pizza. The salad took a while to come out but it finally came out. The salad wasn’t bad but wished they had antipasto salad. The pizza came out but was a little cold. There was a good amount of toppings but it had very little red sauce. We had to ask for a side of sauce. The crust was soft and stayed soft throughout the meal. The pizza lack flavor as I thought it was bland. But I think they do that on purpose because the restaurant is kid friendly so they can’t go overboard. I remember now why I haven’t come back but I think it is not a bad place.

We loved the pizza here. The crust has a hint of molasses and boy is it awesome. We got pepperoni and Italian Sausage.......DELICIOUS! Very affordable, convenient location and delicious. Get down here!!!

The server was really nice. She made sure we had everything we ordered. The pizza was good! The crust chewy and crispy, just like it should be.

First time eating here and I'll be back for sure! Had the build your own white pizza with pineapple, pepperoni and bacon with a Greek salad. Our waitress Mia was fantastic! Mia was very helpful when we were making our decision on the proper size pizza and salad. It was perfect, everyone had plenty to eat and nothing left over. As for the price, I think it very reasonable ( I've paid a lot more at some other local spots)Thank you to the MM team for a great experience and great memories.
