Mellow Mushroom Jacksonville – River City - The Story

The restaurant’s design plays off the surrounding aviation and nautical industries. The exterior of the building is a contemporary blend of steel, wood, and glass. White block lettering stands out against the blue and gray color palette. The interior of the restaurant features exposed shipping containers and an airplane art installation. Dark walls serve as a backdrop for graffiti-inspired artwork and a blue metal sculpture. The spacious bar has sharp white countertops and plenty of seating. An open floor plan, metal accents, and exposed ductwork contribute to the modern feel of the space.

About Mellow Mushroom Jacksonville – River City

Located near River City Marketplace and the University of North Florida, our restaurant has been a local favorite since 2015. Guests visit us for the very best pizza, cold beer, craft cocktails, a vibrant atmosphere, and a great time! We’re proud to sponsor local schools and events.

Pizzas were very good (holy shitaki and Pacific rim) and our server was friendly. The food took forever to come out. We had come here because it was close to the airport so we could catch our flight and it's a good thing we left ourselves time. Maybe 8-10 other tables seated but 40min for 2 pizzas to come out. I would go back but just know it'll take a while for the meal.

We dined in and had pizza here on our road trip. I love that they have vegan options. Our server Lauren was very friendly and attentive, always looking back at our table to make sure we didn't need anything, even though it was quite busy. Great service. I had the Veg Out pizza with vegan cheese, which I've had before and always enjoy.

My first Mellow Mushroom pizza. I got the great white and added some meat and a few veggies. It was really good. Service was good too. I ate half my pizza and the other half is in my friidge ready for lunch. Milo had the chicken breast topping. They brought him a big ol bowl of it too. He gobbled it all down in a breath. Good job yall. Thanks.

I order the same pizzas every week. Tonight one of my pizzas was missing toppings. Thomas, the cashier offered to remake the pizza. I asked to speak to the manager. Katrina assisted graciously assisted me and personally remade BOTH pizzas! This type of service keeps my family coming back to Mellow Mushroom …. week after week 😁. The staff and the food are fantastic!
