Mellow Mushroom College Park - The Story

Eclectic and welcoming, the restaurant features art and design elements that range from classic music posters, to planes, race cars, and giant mushrooms. Each year, we are gifted with a pair of Peachtree Road Race shoes that hang above the bar. To the left of the bar, a large backlit display showcases action figures and collectibles including classic graphic-print lunchboxes. Across one whole wall, in our private room, a black and white mural tells the history of Georgia with important and recognizable figures like Hank Aaron, Martin Luther King Jr., Rhett Butler, and Scarlett O’Hara tucked among iconic places like the Fox, the Clermont Lounge, and The Big Chicken.

About Mellow Mushroom College Park

Not far from the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta, we’ve been a favorite for locals who come in for the very best pizza, cold beer, craft cocktails, a distinctly southern atmosphere, and a great time! We are proud to support local nonprofits and community organizations.

Good pizza and nice people! The receptionist was super nice and so was our server. The food took a bit to come out, but pizza does take a little while so that was fine. The pizza was tasty, but it was a little bit greasy. The meatball sub was also very flavorful and fragrant.

On the 2nd attempt they got our pizza right. Overall the pizza was very good. First time I’ve ever gotten whole pieces of bacon on my pie before. The pie needs more sauce on it. If you didn’t see it on the crust you would have said it wasn’t there. Mushrooms were also very limited. Service was not the best but it was acceptable. Very slow at girth g the first drink at the table and had to ask for refills. The other workers actually gave us better service. Nothing to knock your socks off. The place gives a little bit of a hipster vibe. Glad I tried it, but probably would not pick this over other great pizza places.

Had the Cloud 9 wings. They were excellent and absolutely loaded with the Parmesan Garlic sauce. Also had the spinach salad that had a bunch of toppings. Both items were delicious and they also had a large beer selection to choose from. This is my first time in Atlanta for work. Will definitely be coming back here to try the pizza on my next time through.

Ordered the cloud 9 wings and the merry prankster pizza. The wings were good. Reminds me of publix Mardi Gras wings with a garlic parm sauce on top. The pizza was good, I'm not a fan of tomato sauce so the garlic aoli base was a good touch. It could've had a little more flavor like the chicken be seasoned or something. I went right after opening time so it wasn't crowded. Only a few people were in at that time and most came in for to go order. Place was clean and staff was nice.
