Mellow Mushroom Burlington - The Story

The restaurant is inspired by Burlington’s beginnings as a railroad and industrial town. The exterior of the modern building is made of concrete and brick, with bright pops of color. A graffiti-like mural spans the length of the building above the spacious outdoor patio. Inside the restaurant, guests will find Mel and his friends in factory-inspired settings. Cool gray walls, exposed ductwork, and exposed brick add to the industrial feel, while a locomotive with wings and flying pretzels overhead add a playful touch to the design.

Located near Burlington Royals Stadium and Elon University, Mellow has been a favorite of locals and students since 2009. Stopped by on our way back to Charlotte after my daughter's cheer competition. Michelle was our server, and she was absolutely amazing. She was very polite, made sure our drinks stayed full, and made friendly conversation with my daughter. Our food was cooked perfectly. We ordered a cheese pizza, chili Thai wings, and I ordered a pizza with ham to go. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean and stocked. My daughter absolutely loved the decor, too. Definitely would recommend eating here. Shout out to Michelle for great service!!

After my more locally owned pizza place let me down twice, I ventured over to MM and was not disappointed. The online order process was not as seamless as it could have been, but the curbside delivery was great. I ordered pretzels and two halves of pizza. One star deducted because my pizza choices were not two halves but more like 1/3 and 2/3. Both tasted great but not what I paid for. And for $40 I should have received just what I ordered. Marinara was terrific with the parm pretzel.

Kimberly our server and Robby the beer tender were soooo helpful - set us up nicely! Small pizza was just right and was the best we have had in my the triad so we far. We tried the local beer from Red Oak down the street and it hit the the spot. We know the MM brand and this location rocks! Love you guys - Peace Love and Turtles.

Great 🍕 and salad! I went for the lunch buffet. Fresh tasty pizza. I had never had the buffet before or ate inside. The last time I went here it was like 2015 and we sat outside. The server was great! The pizza fills you up fast!
