Mellow Mushroom Fayetteville NC - The Story

The contemporary restaurant has a patriotic heroes theme. The exterior of the building has a striking modern design, with dark wood paneling, metal accents, and large windows that wrap around the dining room. Guests can dine on the spacious outdoor patio that includes a cozy fire pit. The contemporary design carries through to the interior of the restaurant, which features vaulted ceilings, wood beams, and metal accents. A statue of Bumblebee sits at the entrance, and a playful ceiling treatment of pizza dishes hangs overhead. Colorful stripes create a burst of color on the booths, up the walls, and across the ceiling. A large American flag made out of reclaimed North Carolina wood provides a breathtaking focal point behind the bar, bringing the theme into stark relief.

Located near Fort Bragg and Segra Stadium, we’ve been a local favorite since 2012. Guests come to us for the very best pizza, cold beer, craft cocktails, a vibrant atmosphere, and a great time! We’re proud to sponsor local events.

There was no wait time to get in when we arrived. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our orders were taken promptly and served fresh in a reasonable time. The variety of food was great the menu accommodated a vegan,vegetarian, and a carnivore adequately. It was a relaxing atmosphere to catch-up with old friends.

This is not my first visit, but it's been awhile. I arrived at opening 11am, I was the first customer. The hostess was friendly and she escorted me to my table. I visited the restroom, it was clean and smelled sanitized. My server was Nevaeh, she was pleasant and courteous. She was also very patient as I looked over the menu. The prices are reasonable, I've included the menu in my photos as of this review. After placing my order, the food arrived in a timely manner. I asked for my pizza to cook a bit longer, that request was honored. My server was attentive, she checked on my constantly. This was a very good experience, and I will return. I recommend you try it, and sit in Nevaeh's section.

After trying a few other pizza places in town, I was almost ready to give up on finding somewhere with consistently good pizza. After a recommendation from a friend, I tried the Holy Shiitake Mushroom Pizza and was blown away. This is now my go-to for pizza in the Fayetteville area. The service is fast and very friendly. Their other pizzas are good too, but I highly recommend the Holy Shiitake as a must try!

The food was great - Holy Shiitake Pie was something worth writing home about. Sat in the bar section for a late lunch and the bartender / sever was so genuinely friendly and pleasant. I’d strongly recommend this location and would return if my travels bring me back to Fayetteville. Thanks 🍄 🍕!

We got food to-go on Saturday. We have ate at several different Mellow Mushrooms. Our food was cooked great and the pizza was well done. Wasn’t chewy or wet, it was crispy and good. Im glad they don’t do the garlic on the crust like other places. I also go the mild wings, they weren’t hot at all for me but had good flavor and cooked good as well. It is extremely rare to have a decent experience with any place in Fayetteville so this time we were shocked.
