Mellow Mushroom North Myrtle Beach - The Story

The stacked stone and terracotta exterior is lined with palm trees and a large statue of the Mellow character Mel greets guests. From checking in at a boat that doubles as a host stand, to the huge fish tank in the middle of the dining room, this store is all about the ocean. Walls are painted blue with swirls of water and pizza slices, the floor-to-ceiling windows offer a view of the marina next door, and a fixture shaped like an underwater mushroom stands as tall as the ceiling, lighting the space.

We had a pretty good experience here at Mellow Mushroom. The atmosphere was amazing, and the fish tank was so unique. Our server Leah did a great job taking care of us and handling the rush that was flowing in. We asked her for suggestions and she recommended we try the pretzel bites & beer cheese. Great recommendation, they tasted amazing. I also really recommend the Funky Q Pizza😍 Thank you for you accommodating and kind service! (:

The pizza was really good. The only downside was the wait ... we called in our order for pickup and the actual pickup time was over an hour after the order. The pies were hot when picked up, just not "straight from the oven hot". One other note - we ordered online and it seems as though a gratuity is forced on you when online ordering.

We had a large group of various ages and stages. Our server was super accommodating and friendly. She and the kitchen staff got our food out in a reasonable amount of time for a party of 14. The pizza was excellent, as always. Great variety meaning everyone got pizza they like.

Phenomenal food, drinks, service and atmosphere! Very kid friendly. They also had non-dairy cheese options which is awesome! Highly recommend. Rachel was our server, fabulous!

Tried an unusual pizza, the Caesar, a white pizza which had Feta cheese and lettuce! Delicious, with a great crust! Salad is very good, too.
