Mellow Mushroom Hoover - The Story

This is a Mellow that the whole family can enjoy. The art throughout the restaurant is a mix of images of popular bands from across the ages as well as fun Mellow pieces. A full-wall mural celebrates an outdoor Widespread Panic festival concert, complete with fireworks in the background. The wall adjacent to the bar is covered by a large quilted portrait of John Lennon. Bikes, kayaks, and an Elk hang from the walls. Planks of wood above and below the bar give the space a warm homey feel. A large VW bus and a small VW car emerge from the walls, making great areas for kids to play and take fun photos. A treehouse hangs from the upstairs room, and a mushroom statute completes the host stand. There is patio seating out front and covered patio seating in the back of the building.
