Mellow Mushroom Daphne - The Story

Inspired by the vibrant colors of the 1970s, the restaurant has a throwback feel. The exterior is made from natural stone and stucco, with eye-catching purple metalwork wrapping around the building, and a soothing fountain sits just outside the entrance. The interior has a large, open-concept floor plan and lots of windows to let in natural light. The bright green walls serve as a backdrop for playful artwork, including a wizard statue and a wall of peace signs above the kitchen. Bright murals on the walls and colorful pendant lights add to the playful feel.

About Mellow Mushroom Daphne

Located near downtown Mobile and historic Malbis Nursery, our restaurant has been a local favorite since 2008. Guests visit us for the very best pizza, cold beer, craft cocktails, a vibrant atmosphere, and a great time! We’re proud to support youth sports teams and events in our community.

Went here with a few co-workers for dinner. My wife ordered a small Gluten Free House Special, it is the small pie that does not cover the plate. I ordered a medium House Special Pizza. I was surprised by the price for a medium but wanted to have some leftovers. When the pizza came out it was huge. So big we needed a stand to put the pizza on so we had room on the table. The size then reflected the price paid. I docked 1 star because the crust was too tough and chewy for my liking. I am one of those weird people that eats large slices with a fork and knife. The knife had a hard time getting through it. Think it's because their knife is dull? Nope, my steak knives at home had the same trouble. Toppings were good and the wait staff were great. We had an enjoyable time here.

The family went to the Daphne location. It was very busy. Our daughter and grandson had to park across the street as the parking lot was full. Our server was very polite and helpful. We ordered the kids 1st. My husband had the pumpkin beer. It was served in a glass goblet with sugar and cinnamon on the rim. Looked really nice. He liked it so much he had 2. I had the pretzel bites with spicy cheese. The Foley location spicy cheese was far much better. There wasn't any spice except for a single slice of pickled jalapeño. It still tasted good though. My husband absolutely loved his pizza. The kids cheese pizza was devoured very quickly by the kids. The sundae and chocolate brownie was also eaten very quickly. So, overall a very good experience.

Great place for late lunch! Plus leftovers. Great price too. Large pizza, two not alcoholic drinks and appetizer for under $45! For two people. We had the Hawaiian pizza.. I forgot the name they have it under but, its delicious if you like pineapple on your pizza. Very clean, fast and great service.

First time at a Mellow Mushroom. The service was good and the food came fast. We had a build your own pizza, there were plenty of toppings and the cheese was still hot on arrival. They also have a great beer list. I would recommend this location.

Delicious pizza as always, got a half and half , Holy shiitake, and funky Q Chicken. Was good. My friend never had it before. Love the options to do half and half pies. As always , love mellow mushroom's crust.
