Mellow Mushroom Mobile - The Story

Inspired by the 1960s and ‘70s, the restaurant has a nostalgic hippy vibe. The exterior of the gray cement building is covered with a colorful hexagon pattern. An outdoor patio offers playful yellow seating and shade from an orange awning. Inside, a mural of a tranquil nighttime scene stretches across the dining room, surrounded by painted greenery. The spacious bar area features a substantial sticker collection that sits beneath tie-dye signs. Corrugated metal accents, high ceilings, and a colorful floor round out the design.

About Mellow Mushroom Mobile

Located near the University of South Alabama and the Mobile Museum of Art, the restaurant has been a favorite of locals and students since 1998. Our guests come in for the very best pizza, cold beer, craft cocktails, a vibrant atmosphere, and a great time! As a longtime member of the Mobile community, we’re proud to sponsor local sports teams and events.

Creative pizza places can be hit or miss, but this place was great. Good topping combos, excellent crust (like a sour dough garlic knot?) and good drinks selection. Helpful staff. Patio was dog friendly.

Knowledgeable friendly bar server about food and beer. Fresh food. We tried something different than our usual pizza. While my pepperoni garlic bread was good, my favorite is still the shiitake mushroom pizza.

Pizza was very good! I ordered a small, and it looked like a medium 😳 Thank you April!
