Mellow Mushroom makes the best pizza in Downtown Montgomery, Alabama. Our Mardi Gras inspired restaurant is located in downtown Montgomery on the main floor of the 79 Commerce Street multi-use apartment building on Commerce Street. Mellow is a favorite for the locals in Millbrook, Pike Road, Cottage Hill, and the surrounding areas.

Mellow Mushroom stone-baked pizzas start with the classic Mellow crust, made with Appalachian spring water. In addition to stone-baked pizzas, Mellow Mushroom serves munchies, salads, sandwiches, and burgers. Pick from a selection of 30 draft beers or a tasty, handcrafted cocktails. And, many of our pizzas can be made gluten-free or vegan.

Mellow Mushroom Downtown Montgomery - The Story

Celebrating the Mardi Gras Crews in the local area, the restaurant has a celebration vibe. The walls are painted bright green and purple with stacked stone and wood planking details. A full wall mural features Mellow characters playing music that bursts into sound bubbles of greens and purples as the Mellow characters march down the streets. The outdoor patio has a bar and a large statue of a green mushroom.

Located near the Biscuits Baseball Stadium, the restaurant has been a favorite since 2016. Our guests come in regularly for the very best pizza, cold beer, craft cocktails, a fun atmosphere, and a great time!
