Mellow Mushroom Estero - The Story

Inspired by the Florida coast’s tropical sunsets, our restaurant honors the Estero culture with a Mellow twist. The exterior of the store features a terracotta roof and white stucco facade. The dining room is anchored by an artist’s interpretation of the local banyan tree, featuring glass hexagonal leaves connected by metallic wire branches. Colorful murals wrap the walls, giving the design a Mellow twist on a tropical sunset. One mural depicts a street artist in action as if he is freshly painting the Mellow walls.

I had been wanting to try Mellow Mushroom for a while, and I'm really sorry I didn't go sooner. This was one of the best pizzas I've eaten in Florida in four years. They've taken the time to develop a proper flavor and texture in the dough before spinning out their pies. There was complex flavor in there and a good chewiness; that's something just not found much down here. My gf had their gluten free option, which she found very good too. The restaurant was spacious, very clean, and we had some great interactions with the staff. Thanks so much; we'll be back!

Great food and great service! Went to check out the area for my soon-to-be college student , Friday night (aka busy) but: No way to be seated or for our server to come over, didn't wait forever for drinks including My mixed drink, or out food to be delivered. Consistent follow up by our server. Food tasted great and was made well.

The friendly staff, great food, and beer & cocktail selection make it my favorite place to get pizza in Fort Myers. Fresh healthy ingredients and a flair for innovation create some of the best pizza topping combinations. Pacific Rim - pineapple, jalapeño, onion, ham and bacon - is Mrs. Wally's favorite. The Greek Goddess is my new favorite. Appetizers are just as creative as the pizzas. Salads are hearty and loaded with great flavors, add chicken to up the protein and flavors. There is a merchandise stand to grab t-shirts and gear. Big Wally Tip - Dip your crusts in the house Esperanza Dressing. 👍
