Mellow Mushroom Augusta - The Story

The colorful and lively décor of Mellow Mushroom Augusta celebrates golf and the Masters Tournament hosted annually at nearby Augusta National Golf Club, as well as the Godfather of Soul, James Brown. When guests enter the restaurant, they are greeted by colorful floral murals blooming with azaleas, like the flowers found along the fairways of Augusta National. In another mural Mellow’s own Mel O. Mushroom and best buddy/caddy Dude are depicted on the course’s famous Sarazen bridge. Famed native son James Brown is depicted in an art installation made entirely from golf tees. Finally, don’t miss the Split Flap sign on the back bar, which mimics the look of the leaderboards found at the Augusta National. Make sure to check out the sign for fun facts, quotes, and specials.

About Mellow Mushroom Augusta

Located near the Augusta Riverwalk, the restaurant has been a favorite since 2004. Our guests come in regularly for the very best pizza, cold beer, craft cocktails, a fun atmosphere, and a great time! We are proud to sponsor nonprofit and community events.

Very hot and tasty pizza!! I wish I had more time in Augusta because I would have eaten here more often. Fast friendly service and very clean restaurant. The Spinach artichoke dip was hot cheesy and fresh. The stuff mushroom was a little different but good all the same. Pepperoni and cheese pizza with extra cheese was phenomenal highly recommended you can taste the red wine and the sauce.

It took a couple of minutes to get noticed when we came in, but that's fine. We got the cheese bread which was very yummy and my daughter loved. I got the whole wings with mild sauce and when the arrived they were cold. Got brought a new batch and these were nice and hot. Only thing was they lacked any flavor. That was disappointing but ate them with my blue cheese. Lastly ordered a big chocolate chip cookie which was warmed up and was delicious. My daughter ate the whole thing.

The BEST pizza! The atmosphere is one of a kind & they have the friendliest staff! We had a large group so we were able to try several different types of pizza & they were all amazing. Love the covered outside seating too! We enjoyed the patio while waiting for the rest of our group. This place comes highly recommended!!

While the new location isn’t as great as the old location as far as atmosphere goes, the quality of the food remains the same. I think we’ve had every pizza on the menu at this point and they are all fantastic, our favorite being the Great White. Decided to try something different our latest visit and go with the Pizzaiola Burger which was great.
