Mellow Mushroom makes the best pizza in Columbus, Georgia. Our retro restaurant is located on Veterans Parkway, just south of Whittlesey Blvd. Mellow is a favorite from Ft. Benning to Midland to Harris County, and all areas in between. Mellow serves a one of a kind pizza pie. The flavors and ingredients are just as unique and special as the restaurant’s design. Mellow Mushroom Columbus - The Story

Inspired by the 60s and 70s, the restaurant has a throwback vibe. The exterior of the building is made up of stucco and brick, with a contrasting yellow sign. The two-story entrance features a blue roof and metal light fixtures. Inside, a shroomin’ VW bus is accompanied by the original Mellow Mushroom mascots Mel, Wizard, Dude, and the Funguys. Bold blue and red pops of color are found throughout the space, including blue tabletops, blue tiling in the bar area, and red accent walls. Stained glass windows act as booth dividers, and a Benning Bombshell mural serves as a tribute to nearby Fort Benning.

Located near Britt David Park and the Columbus Airport, the restaurant has been a local favorite since 2001. Our guests come in for the very best pizza, cold beer, craft cocktails, a vibrant atmosphere, and a great time!

This location has it all good service awesome paints on the wall and a cook that really cares. We have ate ate other mellow mushrooms but I have to say even though it's in Georgia lol I was very happy with my experience at this location. Go Vols ps yes the plates are empty because I couldn't get my phone out before it was all gone.

The pizza is absolutely delicious!! Everything came to the table piping hot. You can certainly taste the freshness of the ingredients. We would get everything we ordered again. The staff does a tremendous job keeping the place clean. I’ve never seen tables get cleaned so fast once the customers leave. Our waitress was extremely kind and nice but the service was a little slower than we would have liked. Still….I will be coming back for and I highly recommend this spot for anyone who enjoys great pizza!

Perfect setting, perfect service, perfect food. Was not disappointed at all. Reading the other reviews, the hype was real. Have nothing but great things about this restaurant and very kid friendly.

This is A great place for everyone, and the choices of pizza toppings are great. We were a group of 5 we had 2 orders of pretzel bites with Beer Cheese and 2 large pizza and Soft drinks. We got to play 3cgames of Bingo. Lots of fun The Alice In Wonderland them was amazing. As always the food and service was the best.

Mellow Mushroom delivers! We had an event in Columbus and ordered our pizza from Mellow Mushroom. The pizza is delicious. What was most impressive was the outstanding customer service. MM what above and beyond by sending an employee to deliver our pizza. The gentleman who delivered our pizza was super helpful AND they brought plastic wear, plates, and napkins for “just in case”. The vast array of unique and yummy pizzas were a hit with the group. Thanks Mellow Mushroom!
