Mellow Mushroom Macon - The Story

Inspired by the Allman Brothers Band, psychedelic artwork covers the walls of the restaurant. A statue of a mushroom intertwined with a tree stands the height of the ceiling and flanks the bar. On one side of the restaurant, the front of a train breaks through a mural that separates the dining area from the kitchens. On the other, a vintage Pure Gas station sign captures interest. The classic brick building offers two doors — a main entrance and another where guests can “Piece Out” and grab their To Go orders.

About Mellow Mushroom Macon

Located near the Macon Centreplex, the restaurant has been a local favorite since 2009. Our guests come in regularly for the very best pizza, cold beer, craft cocktails, a fun atmosphere, and a great time! We are proud to support local community events and nonprofits.

Decide to drop in for lunch. Our waitress, Sarah, suggested the cheese bread as a starter. It was hot, toasty, cheesy deliciousness. My wife and I decided on the lunch special (a slice, actually we had two slices each). These slices were cooked to perfection. Great appetizer, main course and a very attentive server. What more could you want from a restaurant? Excellent all around.
