Mellow Mushroom Marietta – Shallowford - The Story

Inspired by 1960s classic rock, the walls of the restaurant are covered in vintage rock posters. A large mural features a VW bus with wings, taking flight over an ocean during sunset. The ceiling offers great visual interest thanks to painted tiles that reflect various Mellow inspirations. Guests may find a peace sign, dancing mushrooms and many more artistic interpretations of the Mellow lifestyle.

Located right down the street from Lassiter High School, our restaurant has been a local favorite for more than 25 years. Guests come in regularly for the very best pizza, cold beer, craft cocktails, a unique atmosphere, and a great time!

We ordered a Steak and Cheese sandwich and a medium pepperoni and sausage pizza with extra sauce. Laura our waitress was amazingly attentive to making us feel like welcomed guests from the minute we sat down. The sandwich was so tasty! And the pizza.... yummy yummy! The flavors all danced like my favorite love song. The crust on this pizza crispy and flavorful. I love the bright colors and funky decor. So visually entertaining to the eye in a weird curious way. But I love it. I was having fun exploring like a kid. The place is small and from the outside it almost appeared closed but don't let that fool yah. Open that door up to have a delicious fun experience and tell Laura hi for us. Enjoy!

Mello Mushroom almost never disappoints. I've always been impressed by any of the locations I have been too. This one off Shallowford was no exception. Our server was outstanding and anticipated our every need. Highly recommend this MM establishment. My family will definitely be back in the future.

We went out for a little date day today & Caroline was just wonderful! She recommended the alfredo dip which was to die for ( my husband almost died when he said yours was better than mine) & the pizza was of course delicious! Will definitely be back! Thanks Caroline for the fantastic service!!

This restaurant is smaller so it stays packed! Only a small bar space. I wish they would expand into the space next door! The food is so good that's why it stays busy. This last time we went I had the Thai pizza. Delish!

Went here last night for takeout pizza. They said 45 - 60 minutes and it was ready just past the 60 minute mark. I went in, paid for the pizzas and waited. It’s a small restaurant and they were hitting it hard making pizza - easily the smallest Mellow I’ve ever seen. The pizza was very good and everyone was very friendly.
