Mellow Mushroom Bowling Green - The Story

Housed in an old garage, the restaurant is inspired by rock n’ roll. The exterior of the building is painted white with green accents. Purple and blue stripes wrap around the entrance and large garage windows that let in lots of natural light. Guests can dine outside on the spacious patio, complete with a cozy fire pit. Inside, the dining space includes a bright pink column with architectural panels that fan out across the ceiling. Above the kitchen, a large mural features a winged mushroom and swirling classic guitars on top of a bright background.

About Mellow Mushroom Bowling Green

Located near Western Kentucky University and Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center, Mellow has been a favorite of the Bowling Green community since 2012. Guests come in for the very best pizza, cold beer, craft cocktails, a vibrant atmosphere, and a great time!

Visited the Bowling Green location. Wings were cooked perfect and tasted excellent. Ordered the BBQ chicken pizza and the meat lover's. Both were really good!

I ordered the Shitake Mushroom Pizza. Delicious! I like spice so added plenty of red pepper flakes and some parmesean sprinkles , which made it even better. I thought I was getting thin crust but It was my first time at any location and I forgot to request thin crust. Only wish I would have been asked. Great food, reasonably priced.

This is our second Mellow Mushroom (Gatlinburg was our first). Michael was doing double duty tending bar in addition to being our server. He suggested an N/A beer for my wife which she enjoyed. Our salads were fresh and crisp. The pizza is what we came for and were quite pleased. The crust was fresh and tasty and done to perfection. (Hats off to the kitchen). Mighty meaty was truly meaty. Well pleased all around. Bravo!

Holy Cow that Pizza rocks. I am from NY. I did not expect this in Bowling Green, KY. Cool downtown location. Awesome vibe exterior and interior. Packed on a Saturday. Tons of Beer choices. Had the Spinach Artichoke dip. Damn, incredible. Had the “Merry Prankster” Pizza (yup, they name them), and it was Phenomenal. I have nothing bad to say about this place. I want one in NY. That is how good this is. GO HERE. Support them. Rare 5 Star review from me.

Food is always good at mellow mushroom but man the wait can be a killer. Went on a holiday and waited an hour plus for our delicious pizzas. Had issue and manager promptly stepped in and made it right. Live music can be very loud and patio area is nice when weather permits. Beer selection is good as well but all of it together can be pricey.
