Mellow Mushroom Somerset - The Story

Recreating the interesting nature in and around the lake, the restaurant features a mural of an underwater wizard that wraps one wall. Another large mural over the kitchen depicts a moose head made of gears. Large geometric mushroom lights with blue domes separate the bar from the dining area. Guests enjoy an enclosed patio that is made to feel like an underwater haven, thanks to big orb structures mounted on the outside.

About Mellow Mushroom Somerset

Located near the Lake Cumberland Regional Airport, our restaurant has been a local favorite since 2015. Guests come in regularly for the very best pizza, cold beer, craft cocktails, a fun atmosphere, and a great time! We are proud to sponsor local schools and community events.

Traveling through, I found this place on the internet after looking for vegan options in Somerset, KY. The decor is funky (in a good way), the options numerous and the drinks good. Our waitress, Karlie, was super nice and happy to help me with my food choices. We enjoyed talking to her as much as we enjoyed the food! Luckily, we had leftovers to take home. Definitely recommend this place!

Decent pizza with a cool rustic atmosphere. Try the pretzel bites with beer cheese they outshine the pizzas in my humble opinion. Very clean restaurant with a friendly staff.

Delicious food, great atmosphere and decorations. Coffee could have been better. Its a little pricey, but I felt like I got what I paid for.

Pizza: Great White: 5/5 - this was honestly my favorite pizza! I got the gluten free crust and I honestly couldn’t taste a difference! Wings: 2/5 - these I were actually super disappointed with. They were cold upon pick up and were not hot at all. service: the ladies who took care of my pickup were very nice! I travel a lot for work so it was nice to have a small conversation. Overall, not a bad place to grab some grub from!
