Mellow Mushroom Wilder - The Story

Inspired by the building’s past life as a train depot, the restaurant feels like an eclectic train depot for comic book and Mellow characters. As they enter through a large glass stalk with a yellow mushroom cap awning, guests are greeted by Batman standing in front of a huge soccer-themed mural. All of the walls are adorned with funky artwork. A stunning stained chandelier hangs in the center of the space. Booths are designed like train seats. The bar is shaped like a brick archway that resembles the entryway to a train station, and a Beer Coolerator offers a view of the beer cooler. A large cozy stone fireplace with statues of Captain America, Mel, the Wizard, and Dude invites guests to warm up with friends. And outside in the Beer Garden, a flame-topped water fountain illustrates an eternal battle between fire and water.

About Mellow Mushroom Wilder

Located close to the Cincinnati Reds Stadium, our restaurant has been a local favorite for more than eight years. Guests come in regularly for the very best pizza, cold beer, craft cocktails, a unique atmosphere, and a great time! We are proud to support local schools and community events.

We have parking available all around the restaurant and in the shared parking lot next to the space. Come in for weekly trivia nights, family fun nights, beer tastings, tap takeover events, and daily happy hour specials. Check our social media accounts for event details. Perfect experience until the family with 5 kids came in and sat right beside me. I understand the restaurant can't control this. Everything else was absolutely perfect: from the service to the food. One thing that was spectacular was the mixed drinks - Wow!!! A great place for a great meal. Totally deserving of a 5 out of 5. Brian was a great server!

Service has been consistently stellar. (5 visits in the last 4 months) The host, the server , and the bar tenders have all been very attentive and anticipated our large family's needs. The pretzel bites are a big hit. The playful psychedelic theme stirred some interesting conversations. Highly recommended for family casual dining.

Great pizza, good service. The crust is fluffy and delicious. We like the loaded potato pizza and the Mediterranean pizza. Prepare yourself for paper straws though...

The food was not great. The pizza was average but the price was more expensive than most pizza places. 10" pizza was $15. Did not like their beer cheese for what was supposed to be pretzel bites but taste like dominos bread bites
