Mellow Mushroom Wake Forest - The Story

Guests enter through beautiful stacked stone into a store inspired by the Mellow vibe. A giant mushroom statue stands in the center of the space with booth seats around its base. Large booths have a comfortable hippie style. The artwork includes murals featuring Mellow characters and a collage of vibrant symbols that wraps a central wall. Guests can enjoy two patios — a covered patio in the front of the building and a partially covered patio in the back.

About Mellow Mushroom Wake Forest

Located near the Falls Lake State Recreation Area, our restaurant has been a local favorite since 2009. Our guests come in regularly for the very best pizza, cold beer, craft cocktails, a fun atmosphere, and a great time! Had an absolute lovely time on Labor Day night. Our server, Lea, was helpful, courteous, and very fun in conversation. She was impressive with her knowledge of the menu & helped us make great choices. She also let us know MM would be undergoing a renovation for the next 2 weeks. Take a picture with your eating buddies under the giant mushroom! It's staying. We were told it's the best icon of the store. Enjoy! Thanks Lea!

Love their pizza!🍕 We always get the special and split a Greek salad. Friendly staff, quality service. Never have to wait long for our food. Recommend pizza joint.

Saturday impromptu Mother/Son outing, stopped by this restaurant. Ate in the covered outdoor area (put a weighted item on your napkins!) They had a bean bag toss thing outside. Staff seemed to be teenagers, but all were friendly. Food was really good. We shared the dessert. A little pricey for ME, but I assume it's fine for the area.

Best part of this pizza - the sauce. It's so important and they nail it. Secondary is the dough and that's done well too. Toppings are always plentiful. They even have great salads. I usually get the Greek salad - good portions and the dressing is really good. The flavor is a little potent so start out light.
