Mellow Mushroom Lincoln – West Haymarket - The Story

The restaurant brings the outdoors in with nature-inspired touches. The exterior of the brick building has throwback neon signs, a metal awning, and large windows that let in lots of natural light. The spacious outdoor patio has large silver-stone tables with umbrellas to provide shade. The interior of the restaurant is designed to look like guests are dining beneath a mushroom, an effect that is created with architectural slats hanging from the ceiling. Bees carry pollen to their queen, and a mural of mother nature stretches across the dining room. Orange seating provides a bright pop of color that contrasts against the blues and greens throughout the space. Hexagonal tiles, colorful lighting, metal accents, and a bar top covered in 1974 pennies round out the design.

About Mellow Mushroom Lincoln – West Haymarket

Located near the Memorial Stadium and the University of Nebraska, our restaurant has been a favorite of students and locals since 2013. Guests visit us for the very best pizza, cold beer, craft cocktails, a vibrant atmosphere, and a great time! We’re proud to support local sports teams and events.

Street parking options are available within a two-minute walk of the restaurant or you can park in one of two nearby garages. Came here for lunch before the Husker game...as several others seem to do also. Food was awesome, had the Rim and Mighty Meat..both were great! Kids had sodas, we had adult sodas..mixed to perfection! Service was top notch, thanks Jacqueline for being great!

We ordered carry out - medium bbq chicken pizza and a pitcher of margaritas. I was greeted promptly at the counter and they were fast and friendly. The pizza was really tasty, cooked nicely, the crust is one of my favs, toppings were good quality & Big foldable slices 😋 it was a 10/10 Pitcher of margaritas to go arrived in 4 cups with ice and lime in a drink carrier. We were happy and feeling good - very tasty on a hot day for sure. Not our first carry out order and we will be back!

We were visiting the University of Nebraska and found this restaurant close to our hotel. They have a great beer and wine menu, and the food was great. We had the Thai chicken wings to start, plus a small Maui Wowi pizza and the Ritz burger. Both meals were delicious. However, what we really liked was the service. Everyone there was very attentive and always checked in on us to see if we needed anything else.

Great tasting and quality pizzas! We ordered 3 different kinds. The dough tastes artisinal, and the flavor combos are creative and out of the box. I also had a salad with chicken. Very impressed.

Yummy! Skip the spinach artichoke dip, but the pizza is great. Fresh ingredients and fun toppings. A bit pricey, but yummy.
