Mellow Mushroom Aiken - The Story

The restaurant trots out a playful equestrian circus theme both inside and out. The exterior of the brick building has large windows, string lights, and contemporary planters. Guests can dine on the spacious outdoor patio in the company of an eight-foot statue of a horse. The interior of the sleek restaurant features original brick walls, horse-inspired artwork, and contemporary seating. A flowing horseshoe installation adorns one wall, and a large bar area features plenty of seating. Wood paneling and dark beams on part of the ceiling are reminiscent of a barn, adding to the equestrian design.

About Mellow Mushroom Aiken

Located near Aiken Mile Track and City Hall, the restaurant has been a favorite for locals since 2013. Guests come in regularly for the very best pizza, cold beer, craft cocktails, a vibrant atmosphere, and a great time! We’re proud to sponsor local events.

Stopped in here while checking out Aiken. The waitresses and staff were super helpful and took care of us very well. We ordered a pizza and the chicken club with a couple of beers. Overall the food was pretty good. I was disappointed in tater tots and should have went with the chips instead. The pizza was nice and fresh, the flavor was good but not my favorite pizza ever. It was slightly warm in the dining area but it was very hot that day so it was to be expected. I will say the beer selection was awesome. There are some beers choices I haven't seen before. All that said I would definitely come back to try some other pizza flavors. I probably won't order a sandwich again but the service was amazing and made the stopping worth it just for that!

Friendly and helpful staff. Funky, fun, and clean interior. I did not order any food, as I just needed to wait about half an hour before meeting someone at a different store. But the bartender was very nice and helpful. She knew about the different beers on tap, and we had a good conversation about them. I'll definitely return here the next time I'm in Aiken.

The spicy margarita is a delicious. Great atmosphere, superb customer service by MCkenly and tasty appetizers. We were too full for big meals .

First-time visit and we were pleasantly surprised. Went there Monday around 6pm. The looked bar was busy and the dining room had plenty of seating available. The staff all looked like they enjoyed working there. We had a medium classic dough veggie pizza, and it was very balanced. The dough was crispy yet soft and chewy on the inside. We both had a beer with it. The medium was more than enough for us and ended up taking two slices home. Look forward to going back to try mire of the menu.
