About Mellow Mushroom Charleston – West Ashley

Not far from the Joe Riley Stadium, we’ve been a favorite for locals who have supported us for more than five years. Our guests come in for the very best pizza, cold beer, craft cocktails, a cinematically-themed atmosphere, and a great time!

We celebrate our love for the movies with a family-friendly matinee on the third Saturday of every month. These events often include entertainment like face painters or character actors including Disney princesses who interact and take pictures with kids.

Feel free to bring your furry friend when you dine on our dog-friendly patio. There is plenty of free parking in the Ashley Shoppes parking lot. Come join us and try your new favorite pizza at Mellow Mushroom!

The design of the place is fantastic!! Very high ceiling and lots of space. Seems like an old cinema. The food was great too! I wish the waiting time is better. Pricing is awesome too, by the way.

We ordered the House pizza and meatballs. I liked the red sauce and the toppings were great and fresh. I wasn't excited about the gluten free crust, it was not hand tossed, dry, hard, super thin and tasteless. Our service was rather slow. We didn't go in at a busy time so wasn't quite certain why that happened. Apps came fairly quickly, but our pizzas took forever. When the couple we were with got served we were informed us that ours had melted in the oven and they had to remake it. 🤷‍♀️ So... we waited again the normal amount of time, that it takes them to make a 10" pizza. When ours finally arrived, the couple we were with had already completed their dinner and we're ready for the bill. Not the greatest experience for our first time there, but I get things happen...
