Mellow Mushroom Lexington SC - The Story

The clean white exterior of the building is punctuated with a teal roof and a bright yellow Mellow Mushroom sign. Two patios provide ample room for outdoor dining, with fans for the summer and heaters for cooler temperatures. A giant dandelion sculpture and the fence are made from recycled bicycles. Inside, an architectural red tree begins in the host stand and spans out across the ceiling. The focal point of the dining room is an intricate hand-drawn mural that stretches across the entire back wall and over the kitchen. Pendant lights, a dark blue accent wall, and exposed ductwork add to the modern feel of the space.

One of the best vegan pizzas I've eaten! The decor is super trippy themed, the staff are friendly and happy to take your customized orders. I would say it's primarily a vegetarian friendly restaurant though, the vegan cheese and tempeh is the only vegan options to customize with while the vegetarian dishes represent 40% of the set menu. The large pizza is HUGE 😄 order with caution.

This is one of the better locations. The staff is great and the vegetarian options are through the roof. Very Impressive! Large selection of beer on tap and in cans too.

I haven’t tried Mellow Mushroom in Lexington for the last two years due to them cutting back on the size of toppings. I am happy to say, via drive, that they added back the size of toppings. The pizza, house special, was really good!!! I’ll be back!!!

Great service, great food, and great atmosphere. Me and my wife love coming here. She tried the pizza island burger and I had the meatball sub. Highly recommend both.
