Mellow Mushroom Mount Pleasant - The Story

Inspired by iconic musicians like Elvis, Bob Marley, and Jerry Garcia, the restaurant features bohemian art and blown-glass light fixtures. A bold color palette of dark blue and vivid pops of color draws the eye around the room to the artwork throughout the space, including an enormous mushroom statue in the middle of our dining area. The building features 40-foot ceilings and an eye-catching blue bar. An extensive outdoor dining area includes an outdoor bar, cornhole area, large covered patio, and whimsical statues.

Fun family friendly spot! Pizza was good. The dough was delicious. Their bruschetta appetizer was amazing and a must have.

This pizza place has a very friendly staff. Like they are ridiculously nice and that is so nice. The atmosphere is, as the name says, mellow. I just wish I liked their pizza. I mean the toppings were great, the cheese was melty and the mushrooms were awesome but man the dough did not hit well with me personally. They also have souvenirs.

This is no ordinary pizza place. All you have to do is order the Holy Shitake pizza to discover that. It is one of the most blissful pizzas ever. Whether on regular or gluten-free crust, it works wonderfully. Plain cheese pizza is good, not great. Salads are very nice and well-balanced. Wine selection is basic. Beer a little more interesting. The giant cookie sundae and the gluten free brownie were both very good. Service was extra friendly and attentive. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and parking. Great for families.
