Mellow is a favorite for the locals in Fry Springs, Lewis Mountain, Starr Hill, and the surrounding areas. Mellow Mushroom stone-baked pizzas start with the classic Mellow crust, made with Appalachian spring water. Mellow Mushroom Charlottesville - The Story

Located on the first floor of The Graduate Hotel, the restaurant’s exterior has a soothing light-yellow color palette and metal light fixtures. Mature trees provide shade for the outdoor dining area, and large windows let in lots of natural light. The interior of the restaurant features bold colors and funky artwork. In the entryway, portraits of Presidents Jefferson, Madison, and Monroe celebrate Virginia’s history. Bold, 70s-inspired murals are found throughout the dining room, and a tall mushroom sculpture seems to grow out of the dining room floor. Wood accents and vibrant wall colors round out the design.

About Mellow Mushroom Charlottesville

Located near the University of Virginia and Monticello, our restaurant has been a favorite of locals and students since 2001. Guests visit us for the very best pizza, cold beer, craft cocktails, a vibrant atmosphere, and a great time! We’re proud to support local charities and organizations.

Street parking is available around the restaurant or in the 14th Street Parking Garage. The Graduate Hotel also offers valet parking. Your furry friend is welcome on our dog-friendly patio. Try your new favorite pizza at Mellow Mushroom!

I’m addicted to mellow mushroom pizza. Anytime I see a mellow mushroom, I have to stop. This was a great experience with awesome service and three incredible pizza pies. I don’t understand how a chain can be so consistent and so good. I highly recommend the Cuban pizza. The mustard sauce was shockingly delightful.

During my visit, I experience good customer service; an employee helps me navigate the menu well and is very kind. I order a custom small Vegan pizza which is so filling (for a really good price): I save a slice for breakfast. The ingredients I choose aren't really super flavorful more than subtle. I really decide on eating pizza because I like the way I feel when I eat good pizza especially Sicilian like pizza, fluffy and yummy. Pizza is such a good carrier concept for ingredients. The establishment accepts different forms of payment.

Had the Holy Shiitake and it is probably the best pizza I ever had. No joke. We were here visiting to see if we want to move here and this definitely helped sway us.

Solid pizza. Novel combinations, you can really get crazy. Good selection of sandwiches and burgers too. So something for everyone and reasonable prices. Server worked really hard and was friendly.

Great service and great food! I would definately recommend eating here if o are in the area. We ate on $5 one topping Tuesday and the single was so large me and my wife could have shared one instead of ordering two. For $10, we got more than we could eat.
