Mellow Mushroom Fredericksburg - The Story

The restaurant design unites colonial-era inspirations with Fredericksburg’s influence on modern rock music and the electric guitar. This restaurant features a mural in tribute to famed guitarist Link Wray. Also on display is a second mural featuring an image of Uncle Sam sporting a vibrant and cool look in sunglasses as he sits above the kitchen. This concept of transforming history into something new is seen across all areas of the restaurant, from the bicycles used to create partitions, to the corrugated metal structure that went into showcasing the open kitchen. Musical elements are merged with building materials in unexpected ways to bring to life a repurposed Mellow-dy.

Vegan Eats Review: Had trouble doing the online order so called and got it ordered within five minutes. Vegan Veg Out with Artichokes and Pineapples Crust is soft and fluffy. Ingredients fresh. Staff super nice and friendly. Great go to spot for yummy pizza.

Showed up for lunch around 1. Wasn’t slow, wasn’t very busy… just right. We ordered 3 pizzas, wings and some pretzel bites. The food was hot and fresh and the taste was perfect. When you think of GOOD fresh pizza this is exactly what should come to mind. Our server Lianna was amazing as well. Kept us informed of upcoming food arrival and made sure to check in after delivering. 10/10 we will return.

Came in with a group of 4 around dinner time. Was seated pretty quickly. Service was quick and very attentive. Had pretzels as a app and pizza and steak and cheese as the meal. Food is good just missing a little flavor.

Great service & great food! I didn’t get a picture of the wings before we DEVOURED them, but the Cloud 9 wings were so good. Their ranch is also good, very dill-y. Pacific Rim & Great White (without onions) pictured.

The wife and I came on a Wednesday night. Didn't wait long to be seated. We ordered an app of bruschetta, calzone and a house special pizza. The food was fantastic, hot and fresh. This Mellow Mushroom did not disappoint. As locals, this will definitely be on our weekly options for dinner or late night getaway.
